Drawings deemed "as-built" are drawings that show the EXISTING conditions as they are, or "as-is" — these are the actual existing conditions as opposed to designs or proposed conditions, which are more common for the content of drawings.

As-built drawings need to be documented either after or during construction. When it's after construction, a qualified technician collects accurate data to reconstruct the drawings. When it's during construction, the design drawings are redmarked for editing.

Clients can simply submit their marked drawings electronically or as paper copies to us, our experienced team of engineers will follow the end-client specifications for a smooth transfer after finishing the as-built. If any conversion is required from cad drawings to eg SmartPlant instrumentation we can also take care of this during the as-built project.

Example scenario SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID)
During engineering drawings have been produced using non intelligent drafting packages like Autocad 2D. On handover the owner operator dictates the P&ID drawings need to be delivered in SmartPlant P&ID format. We can take care of such an Autocad to SmartPlant conversion during the as-built phase of the project.

Example scenario SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)
During engineering vendor drawings were delivered in many different formats such as paper, Autocad, smartsketch, visio etc. On handover the owner operator dictates all instrumentation and control systems data needs to be delivered in SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools) format. We can take care of the conversion to SmartPlant Instrumentation during the as-built phase of the project.
